The American College of the Mediterranean (ACM) has established partnerships and pathway programs with various U.S. universities and colleges in order to facilitate: 1. the process of transferring to ACM for students wanting to complete their BA degree with ACM; 2. matriculating into a graduate program at ACM after receiving an undergraduate degree in the United States; and 3. matriculating into a graduate program in the United States after receiving an undergraduate degree at ACM.

If you are interested in partnering with ACM to formulate an articulation or pathway agreement, please contact the ACM Office of Admissions.

Current Articulation/Pathway Agreements:

Fairfield University

Graduate Pathways Program

In early 2021, Fairfield University and ACM created a new Graduate Pathways Program to create a path to graduate school for undergraduate students at both institutions. In their freshman year of the undergraduate program, students can express interest in participating in the Pathway program. Pathway students will then participate in an exchange program during the fall of their third year of study with the partner program (ie. Fairfield undergraduate students will spend the fall semester of their junior year abroad with ACM; ACM undergraduate students will spend the fall semester of their junior year abroad with Fairfield University). Students will be eligible for the pathway program and automatically accepted into their chosen graduate program if they maintain a 3.0 GPA overall during their undergraduate career, participate in the exchange term at the partner university, and are nominated/supported by their home university. Application fees are waived for all programs for pathway students.

Available Graduate Pathway Programs Include:

Fairfield University:

  • Master of Science in Business Analytics
  • Master of Science in Finance
  • Master of Science in Management
  • Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing

St. John's College

Bachelor of Arts & Master of Fine Arts 4+2 Program

In 2020, ACM and St. John’s College (SJC) established a 4+2 partnership program for students to easily matriculate into the MFA in Painting program at ACM after graduating from St. John’s College. Students complete their 4-year BA at St. John’s (in Annapolis or Santa Fe) and then go to Aix-en-Provence to earn their 2-year MFA in Painting at ACM. Participants in this 4+2 program are invited to participate in one summer term of study at ACM's study abroad institute, IAU, during their four years at St. John’s to prepare them for master’s level study of fine arts. Students who opt not to participate in the summer study program must submit a portfolio as part of their application to the MFA in Painting. Participants in the 4+2 program receive automatic scholarships and tuition discounts (as follows):

  • Preparatory Summer at IAU: $3,000 flat discount on published prices of six-week Marchutz summer program
  • Two-Year MFA Program: $1,500/year automatic Dean’s Scholarship
